Web form
Section titled “Web form”If email isn’t easy for you, the Contact page on faydta.com has a form that goes to the same inbox.
In person at a meeting
Section titled “In person at a meeting”The DTA board holds public business meetings every month — the first Monday after the fourth Friday, 6:00–7:00 PM at the Cool Spring Downtown District office. The full meeting calendar is on faydta.com/meetings.
If you let us know in advance, we can sit with you and walk through Discord on your phone before or after the meeting.

That’s our permanent shortcut. It always points to the current Discord invite. No need to email anyone or dig through old messages.
”I joined but I don’t see member channels”
Section titled “”I joined but I don’t see member channels””You haven’t linked your account yet. Run /link in a direct message with the FAYDTA bot. Full instructions: Link your faydta.com account.
”I linked but still don’t see member channels”
Section titled “”I linked but still don’t see member channels””The linking succeeded but role assignment can lag by up to an hour. If it’s been more than an hour and you’re still not seeing #members-chat, email us and we’ll check.
Most common cause: your faydta.com membership shows as pending or expired. Check your faydta.com/account page first.
”Discord keeps buzzing my phone”

”Someone in Discord is being inappropriate”
Section titled “”Someone in Discord is being inappropriate””Don’t engage. Take a screenshot (press the side button + volume up on iPhone, or power + volume down on Android), then email info@faydta.com with the screenshot attached. The board reviews and handles all reports — your name is kept confidential.
”I want to delete my Discord account”
Section titled “”I want to delete my Discord account””You can leave the FAYDTA server without deleting Discord itself:
- Tap the FAYDTA server name at the top.
- Tap Leave Server.
- Confirm.
If you also want to delete your Discord account entirely, that’s done in Discord Settings → My Account → Delete Account. We have no role in that — it’s between you and Discord.
Office hours
Section titled “Office hours”The board offers Discord setup help at our monthly business meetings. If you’d like one-on-one help getting set up, mention it in your contact email and we’ll plan it.
We also welcome members helping members. If a neighboring business owner has already figured Discord out, ask them. Most people are happy to walk through it for a minute.
A note on patience
Section titled “A note on patience”Discord wasn’t built for downtown communities — it was built for video gamers. We’ve worked to make our server welcoming and clear, but you may still hit things that feel awkward. That’s not your fault. Tell us what was confusing and we’ll either fix the server, fix this guide, or both.
